DURATION OF THE TOUR: 9h
- pickup at 8 a.m. in front of the ship, meet your english speaking driver (he will have your name on a sign) and begin your tour in our a/c Mercedes vehicle;
- ride to Tarquinia for a short stop at this ancient Etruscan town, standing on a hill overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. Tarquinia was a community which traded with rest of the world until the Romans conquered them;
- drive to the city of Orvieto,in Umbria, sitting majestically high above the valley atop a huge chunk of tuff rock;
- enjoy a walk in this lovely town, also famous for its colourful ceramics. You can't miss visiting one of the most beautiful cathedrals in Italy, the Duomo, hosting the relics of the Corpus Domini Miracle;
- ride to Civita di Bagnoregio, a town built on the top of a flat block of stone laying over soft clay: for this reason there are tremendous erosion problems and it’s called "the dying town". Civita di Bagnoregio is surrounded by deep valleys and is connected to the resto f world only by a long pedestrian bridge. Less then 10 people live in this unique medieval town;
- enjoy a delicious lunch in a local restaurant with a stunning view;
- leave the town before the cruise buses do, so it's impossible to miss the ship. Back to the ship by 5pm.
